Through our partnership with Seattle University School of Law, Reclaiming Our Greatness provides individuals facing domestic violence with access to legal counsel and representation. Our goal is to help them navigate the complexities of the court system with confidence and dignity.
Beyond legal assistance, we ensure they receive culturally responsive case management and stabilization services, offering support that meets their unique needs. Together, we empower survivors to reclaim their strength and build a foundation for lasting stability.
At Reclaiming Our Greatness (ROG), we believe stability at home is key to success in school and beyond. Through our Family Stability Case Management Program, we provide cross generational support to school-aged youth and their families facing housing instability.
About This Program
Comprehensive Support for Families in Need
In partnership with the United Way and the Siemer Institute, ROG offers whole-family case management designed to address the unique challenges of housing instability. Our program works to reduce school disruptions caused by frequent moves, helping children stay on track academically while their families build a stable foundation.
How We Help
Our Family Case Management Program focuses on:
Housing Stability: Connecting families to resources and services that prevent displacement and provide safe, sustainable housing solutions.
Educational Continuity: Reducing the number of school transfers for children during the academic year, ensuring consistency and support in their education.
Customized Plans: Developing personalized strategies for each family, addressing their unique needs and empowering them to overcome barriers to stability.
Why This Matters
Every child deserves the chance to succeed without the fear of losing their home or falling behind in school. By addressing housing instability, we help families break the cycle of poverty and build a brighter, more stable future.
In partnership with the United Way and the Siemer Institute, ROG offers whole-family case management to address the unique challenges of housing instability.
Eviction Prevention at Reclaiming Our Greatness (ROG) is a vital part of the response to the growing housing crisis. By providing immediate, targeted support, we help families and individuals find creative, sustainable solutions to avoid homelessness altogether.
About This Program
Expanding Access, Empowering Communities
Since June of 2024, with support from United Way King County, ROG is expanding Eviction Prevention services to reach communities that have been traditionally underserved and disproportionately affected by homelessness. Our program focuses on delivering culturally responsive support that prioritizes equity, ensuring those who face the highest barriers receive the assistance and care they need.
How We Help
Our Eviction Prevention Support offers:
Community Based Liaisons: ROG works collaboratively with tenants, landlords, and other parties. Our agency then negotiates a plan to cover past due rent, fees, and other dues.
Creative Problem Solving: ROG works with families to identify immediate housing solutions that are safe, sustainable, and aligned with their unique needs so they can continue to stay housed.
Why This Program Matters
People of color are disproportionately represented in those that have fallen or at risk of falling behind. As a community based organization ROG expands the outreach and accessibility of Keep King County Housed.
Together, we can break the cycle of homelessness and build stronger, more resilient communities.
By providing immediate, targeted support, we help families and individuals find maintain stability and find sustainable solutions to avoid homelessness altogether.
At Reclaiming Our Greatness (ROG), we believe every young person has the potential to achieve greatness. The Pathways to Community Resilience (PCRP) is designed to guide youth and young adults toward success in agency, academics, workforce readiness, and physical well-being. By fostering meaningful connections and providing tailored support, we help young people build a future filled with opportunity and promise.
About This Program
Fostering Growth and Resilience
Youth outcomes improve when we prioritize interventions that create meaningful connections and purpose in their lives. Through PCRP, we focus on helping young people reclaim their agency, build confidence, and set realistic yet ambitious goals for their future.
Trauma-Informed Care
Our staff is deeply committed to understanding the unique challenges facing at-risk youth. Regular trauma-informed training ensures that we provide thoughtful care while avoiding exacerbation of existing traumas. Staff, partners, and collaborators on this project will address issues such as poverty, homelessness, mental health, and substance abuse while developing personalized plans to meet each youth’s needs.
Academic Support
PCRP offers academic support tailored to each student’s academic progress. ROG provides culturally responsive support, meeting students where they are and helping them build confidence and competence in specific subjects.
Workforce Readiness
Preparing Youth for High-Demand Careers
Our workforce readiness component equips young people with the skills needed to succeed in any economy. Through partnerships with local businesses, nonprofits, and youth advocacy groups, students receive employment training, career counseling, and exposure to high-paying fields such as data analytics and computer science.
Students will cultivate a healthy mindset as they move into career exploration and career mapping.
Older students access advanced job skills coaching and access to job placement assistance.
By focusing on these skills, we aim to close the gap between the demand for BIPOC professionals in living wage professions across the county and state.
Recreation and Sports
More Than Just a Game
PCRP provides youth with access to multiple sport modalities including basketball, soccer, martial arts, and weight training in gyms located in Seattle and Kent, WA. This program emphasizes the balance between fun, fitness, and psychological well-being. Students not only hone their athletic abilities but also gain valuable life skills and preparation for life, academics, and physical well-being.
A Holistic Approach to Youth Empowerment
From trauma-informed care to academic tutoring, workforce preparation, and recreational activities, the Pathways to Community Resilience Program is a comprehensive support system designed to help young people reclaim their greatness. Together, we’re creating opportunities for young people to build a brighter future.
We are grateful to King County Parks, The Norcliffe Foundation, Dennis & Phyllis Washington Foundation, and The Huge and Jane Ferguson Foundation for their initial contributions.
