Our Story
Born from Passion, Built on Purpose
Reclaiming Our Greatness (ROG) was founded by Marshaun Barber to uplift communities of color through culturally appropriate support. ROG addresses housing and food insecurity while helping individuals navigate the complexities of healthcare, education, and justice systems. With a focus on high-barrier, high-need populations, we deliver compassionate services that empower families to reclaim their greatness with dignity and hope.
A Legacy of Advocacy
Before founding ROG, Marshaun led programs at All Seattle Kids Home, supporting school-aged children and families at risk of homelessness in King County. Her work as a civil legal aid attorney at TeamChild allowed her to advocate for youth in school discipline, special education, and family law—helping those impacted by the juvenile justice system and the school-to-prison pipeline.
Commitment to Justice and Community
Marshaun continues to drive ROG’s mission through her leadership, advocacy, and mentorship. She also serves on the Loren Miller Judicial Evaluation Committee, supporting social justice and fostering new leaders. Under her guidance, ROG remains a beacon of hope for families striving to overcome barriers and achieve stability.
